Flow Health Check (Review a Flow Export)

Drop a Power Automate export into the tool and see within seconds how the flow is built and where it is weak. The file never leaves your browser.

The Flow Health Check reads a legacy export package or a solution ZIP, finds every flow definition and counts triggers, actions, conditions, loops, scopes, variables and connectors, including the maximum nesting depth. Then it checks the flow and shows the action with its path for every finding, for example Scope_Try > Apply_to_each > Compose_2. The ZIP comes with a file tree where you can view JSON and XML files formatted. You copy the report as Markdown.

Open Flow Health Check

Free. You enter your email address once, then all tools are unlocked. Your data is processed locally in your browser.

How it works

  1. Drop the exported ZIP into the tool (legacy package or solution) and pick the flow if there are several.
  2. Look at the key figures and health checks. Work through red and yellow first.
  3. Copy the report as Markdown and put it in your ticket or documentation.

What is checked

  • Default names such as Compose_2, Condition_3 or Apply_to_each
  • Error path: scope with runAfter Failed or TimedOut and Terminate Failed in the catch
  • Nested loops and Apply to each without a concurrency limit and many actions
  • Variables in parallel loops (race condition)
  • Until without a limit and Delay inside loops
  • Hard-coded URLs, email addresses and GUIDs in inputs
  • HTTP with authentication but no secure inputs and outputs, secrets in plain text
  • "When an item is modified" triggers without a trigger condition
  • More than 100 actions and detected premium connectors (HTTP, Dataverse, custom)

Example: a finding in the report

### [Warning] Error path without Terminate Failed
- `Catch`

### [Warning] Default names not renamed (3 of 12)
- `Compose`
- `Scope_Try > Apply_to_each > Condition_2`

Frequently asked questions

Is the Flow Health Check free?

Yes.

Is my ZIP file uploaded?

No. The file is read and checked in your browser. There is no upload and no storage.

Which exports can the tool read?

The legacy export package (Microsoft.Flow/flows/.../definition.json), a solution ZIP (Workflows/*.json) and a single flow JSON from the code view.

What if the ZIP contains several flows?

You pick the flow from a list. Key figures and checks always apply to the selected flow.

Are the checks a verdict on my flow?

No. They are hints with the exact location. You decide whether a finding is a problem for you. A flow can run without an error path on purpose.

What do Critical, Warning and Info mean?

Critical means a real risk, such as a missing error path or a secret in plain text. Warning concerns maintainability and stability, Info is plain information such as detected premium connectors.
